Danny Tourh, FTS Recruitment
Intec Rising Star 2018
Recruitment
Resourcing Level 2
Confident Danny Tourh is a keen
sports-man and has always been competitive so it’s no surprise he is excelling
in a fast-paced, target- driven role as a Recruitment Resourcer. It’s not only
his stand-out performance and ability to meet targets that makes him a worthy
winner for a Rising Star Award but also his hard-working and diligent attitude
to any task that’s put in front of him.
Recruited by
Intec’s Kerrie-Ann Boss, Danny joined the FTS Recruitment Team, who specialise
in placing Construction Professionals, just 5 months ago. ‘It was my motivation
to earn money that pushed me towards an Apprenticeship as I have always been
independent and an Apprenticeship allows me to earn while I learn.’ Danny has
come a long way in the short time he’s been at FTS, ‘he is committed and
dedicated individual who works to achieve to the best of his ability first time
round, rather than submit something which will not meet the criteria’, says his
Tutor/Assessor Alice Gray.
FTS
Recruitment’s Managing Director, Jared, is particularly pleased with his
progress. ‘When I decided to try an Apprenticeship scheme to complement our
usual method of recruiting new team members, I expected to hire someone who
would perform only junior office duties initially (the metaphorical faxing and photocopying) but it soon became apparent
that Danny had so much more to offer than this. Making calls to people you don’t know,
about a subject that you know little about and in front of colleagues you have
only recently met is a daunting prospect even for experienced people, yet Danny
threw himself into it bravely. Whilst he is an extremely confident and
self-assured young man, he is also very respectful and professional, holding
his own on the phone to candidates that manage multi-million pound construction
projects. If all Apprentices are like Danny, I will hire an Army of them...!’
Danny is consistently reaching
his KPI’s each week and has integrated into the FTS team well.
He has learnt to deal with challenging customers, creates rapport with
candidates and has increased his knowledge of
the
industry really well. He has also developed
his time management skills, planning out his time effectively both in
his personal and professional life; ‘In recruitment a major challenge is time
management, as you have to allow for late notice for things.’ Alongside his
full time role as a Recruitment Resourcer, hard-working Danny is balancing his
assignments, playing semi-pro football and selling designer merchandise online.
Danny clearly
has a very bright future ahead of him, proving if you work hard anything is
possible. Well done Danny!
