New Programme: Express Delivery Sortation Hub Operative

The new Express Delivery Sortation Hub Operative programme is designed for those supporting the rapid distribution of goods in sortation hubs. Ideal for those working in online retailers or logistics organisations, this new programme is all about getting the right goods, to the right place, FAST.

With Christmas fast approaching and online shopping orders flying in, these sortation hub operatives will play a vital role in making sure goods are under the tree on time.

The Level 2 programme focuses on developing the Learner's personal effectiveness in their role. Developing their industry knowledge of best practice and helping them to understand where they fit into the wider supply chain. They will learn about legislation and processes relating to the handling of goods, as well as emerging trends of compliance, data protection and contingency planning. 

The Level 2 programme lasts 12 months (+4 months for End Point Assessment) and is suitable for those starting out in an operative role and those with experience looking to gain a recognised apprenticeship standard. The programme allows learners to forge links with leading industry bodies and once completed, Learners will be eligible to join the Institute of Couriers as an Associate Member.

The programme can be funded by the Apprenticeship Levy (to the value of £4000) or government funding is available for organisations with a wage bill of less than £3million.
