The United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust provides a wide range of healthcare services to the residents of Lincolnshire with more than 7,500 highly trained staff and volunteers. Intec Business Colleges has been working with the United Lincolnshire Healthcare Trust to support the hospital in recruiting Apprentices.

The Apprentices, who are currently completing a Customer Service Apprenticeship, carry out the same duties as other staff in the department including covering reception through to attending clinics.

“Apprenticeships are a great way to utilise young talent and it benefits the company because they gain practical skills, job experience and a formal qualification all at the same time,” commented Tracy Russell, Outpatients Team Leader.

“For the Hospital the Apprentices go on to make good candidates for other positions within the organisation because they have already gained substantial knowledge of the Hospital and its working practices.”

“Working with Intec and the Matching Service has been very successful for our department in finding good candidates for us and the learners themselves have also been very impressed with the help and support they have received.” Concluded Tracy.
