The use of Information Technology within business is constantly developing and it is important to ensure you have the skills needed to exploit today’s technologies. The aim of these qualifications is to recognise the application of a range of IT user skills and knowledge in the workplace, meeting workforce demands. The flexibility of the qualification enables you to gain skills suitable for a specific job and to meet individual needs.

The Intec IT User Diplomas are work based accredited qualification which explore the principals and practices of this technology.  Based on the National Occupational Standards for IT, these qualifications will provide you with a thorough understanding of this subject, allowing you to learn about:

  • Productivity using IT
  • The potential of IT
  • Developing personal and team effectiveness using IT
  • Use of a variety of software packages including well known office programmes, multimedia programmes, collaborative technologies as well as the use of programmes specific to your organisation
  • IT Security systems
  • Setting up and maintaining performance of IT systems

This qualification can be studied at Level 2 and is appropriate for those new to or those with experience in the industry. They can be studied as either a standalone Vocational Qualification or as part of an Apprenticeship.
