The use of Information Technology within business is constantly developing and it is important to ensure your staff have the skills needed to exploit today’s technologies. The aim of these qualifications is to recognise the application of a range of IT user skills and knowledge in the workplace, meeting workforce demands. The flexibility of the qualification enables your staff to gain skills suitable for a specific job and to meet individual needs.

The Intec IT User Apprenticeship is a work based accredited qualification which explore the principals and practices of this technology.  Based on the National Occupational Standards for IT, these qualifications will provide your staff with a thorough understanding of this subject, allowing your staff to learn about:

  • Improving productivity using IT
  • Understanding the potential of IT
  • Developing personal and team effectiveness using IT
  • Use of a variety of software packages including well known office programmes, multimedia programmes, collaborative technologies as well as the use of programmes specific to your organisation
  • IT Security systems
  • Setting up and maintaining performance of IT systems

This qualifications can be studied at Level 2 and appropriate for those new to or those with experience in the industry. It can be studied as either a standalone Vocational Qualification or as part of an Apprenticeship.
