Access to Apprenticeships

David Cameron, The Prime Minister, has announced a new measure to combat youth unemployment and given the under 25 year olds opportunities to get an Apprenticeship.

Apprenticeships are the UK’s flagship vocational qualifications designed to provide young people with the skills the nation needs in the future. The programme will prepare young people to take up full time jobs with employers who are offering Apprenticeship opportunities.

The programme will provide 10,000 places for young people under the age of 25. Employers are being encouraged to consider the many benefits of taking on Apprentices and to promote their vacancies.

Employers offering Apprenticeship vacancies can expect to reduce staff turnover and increase their competitiveness.
